1. Responsible for design and development of Mechanical parts in sheet metal, plastic, Aluminium die casting and packaging for consumer lighting products 2. Responsible for Risk assessment through different tools like DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effective Analysis), DFSS (Design for Six Sigma tools) during new product development. 3. Knowledge of SBD (Simulation based design tools) and application of the same during current product development. 4. Contributes to preparation of VPH (Value Proportionate House) and CTQ (Critical to Quality) for Sales and Marketing. 5. Understanding customer requirements for Consumer Lighting (Trade) segment and convert those requirements to technical specifications and Concept (design & development) in collaboration with planning team to customize as per local needs. 6. Responsible for bringing current innovative ideas / technology to develop products for Consumer Lighting segment 7. Responsible for development of new products based on marketing road map process, Tooling,



Acceptance criteria, Test method for all new product along with Documentation. 8. Releasing of the design & development documents to Concern CFT member 9. Responsible for Preparing Documentation for design registration & patents. 10. Responsible for Maintaining details of existing product portfolio and evaluating /implementing changes/upgradation using proper process. 11. The position works very closely with cross functional teams: Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing. 12. Develop creative solutions with long term implications for product design/ product development, serviceability, production facilities etc. 13. Command on relevant technology, feasibility of component/module /, manufacturability and application. 14. Resolves technical issues within team and with suppliers
