Delhi NCR – Netaji Subhash Place & Kundli, Haryana Work Model: 3 Days Delhi Office + 3 Days Kundli Factory

4–8 Years Department: Product Development & Innovation Employment Type: Full time About Perch Perch is a growing lifestyle and housewares brand specializing in innovative, functional, and design-driven consumer products, including insulated bottles, tumblers, barware, glassware, kitchenware, and lifestyle accessories. We are looking for a Product Development Manager who can take complete ownership of transforming product concepts into manufacturing-ready products. The role requires a combination of product design understanding, technical knowledge, factory coordination, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product Planning & Development – Delhi Office
* Work closely with the management and product team to conceptualize and develop new products.
* Translate product ideas into clear design briefs, specifications, and development plans.
* Research competitor products, market trends, materials, finishes, and innovative features.
* Coordinate product designs, 3D models, technical drawings, and modifications with internal designers or external vendors.
* Evaluate product functionality, aesthetics, manufacturing feasibility, and target costs.
* Finalize product development requirements before initiating factory sampling. 2. Sampling & Factory Execution – Kundli Factory
* Take complete ownership of developing physical samples based on approved designs.
* Work closely with factory technicians, production teams, and vendors to develop accurate counter samples.
* Ensure samples meet approved dimensions, materials, colours, finishes, functionality, and quality requirements.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges during product development.
* Coordinate necessary sample modifications until final approval.




* Ensure approved counter samples are properly maintained and available for reference during bulk production. 3. Purchase & Production Handover
* Coordinate with the purchase team to finalize component specifications, materials, accessories, and sourcing requirements.
* Prepare and maintain product specifications, BOMs, technical drawings, and approved sample records.
* Ensure production teams receive all necessary information and approved samples before manufacturing begins.
* Coordinate with production teams to ensure the product can be manufactured consistently at the required quality and cost.
* Resolve product-related issues during initial production trials. 4. Product Development Project Management
* Manage multiple product development projects across different categories.
* Establish development timelines and monitor progress from concept to production readiness.
* Coordinate between Delhi office teams, factory departments, suppliers, and external designers.
* Identify potential delays and proactively resolve development bottlenecks.
* Maintain a structured product development tracker with project status, pending actions, sample approvals, and timelines. 5. Product Improvement & Innovation
* Identify opportunities to improve existing products in design, functionality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.
* Recommend new materials, finishes, mechanisms, and manufacturing techniques.
* Evaluate customer feedback and market requirements to guide product improvements.
* Work on product differentiation and innovation across Perch’s product portfolio. Required Qualifications & Skills




* Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* 4–8 years of experience in product development, preferably in consumer goods, housewares, kitchenware, drinkware, or similar manufacturing industries.
* Strong understanding of product construction, materials, manufacturing processes, and sampling.
* Ability to understand and review technical drawings, 3D models, and product specifications.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar software is preferred.
* Experience coordinating with factories, vendors, purchase departments, and production teams.
* Strong project management, problem-solving, and execution skills.
* Ability to independently manage multiple product development projects. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 1. Product Development Timelines: Completion of new product development projects within agreed deadlines. 2. Sample Accuracy: Development of counter samples matching approved product specifications. 3. Production Readiness: Timely availability of approved samples, BOMs, drawings, and specifications for purchase and production. 4. Development Efficiency: Reduction in sample revisions, delays, and development costs. 5. Product Innovation: Successful development and improvement of products across assigned categories. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a technically sound, hands-on product development professional who can bridge the gap between creative product ideas and factory execution. The candidate must be equally comfortable discussing new product concepts with management in Delhi and working directly with factory teams in Kundli to ensure those concepts are converted into accurate, production-ready products. The primary responsibility is to ensure that every approved product moves smoothly from concept to counter sample and finally to production handover.
