We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Trade Support Engineer with 5 years of relevant experience to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of our live trading applications and infrastructure. In this critical role, you will take ownership of production support, incident management, infrastructure optimisation, and trade-related operational activities. You will act as a key liaison between the trading desk, back-office, brokers, and technology teams, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimal disruption to live trading operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong Linux troubleshooting skills, proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, a proactive approach to automation, and the ability to independently manage critical incidents in a high-pressure trading workplace.

Key Responsibilities
• Infrastructure Support: Manage and maintain the firm’s live trading and data infrastructure, ensuring system availability, reliability, and operational stability. Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and proactively implement improvements.
• Production Support: Monitor live trading applications and infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime. Perform pre-market and pre-production checks, validate system readiness, and proactively identify potential issues that could affect trading operations.
• Automation & Optimization: Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and scripts using Python and Bash to streamline operational workflows, improve monitoring, automate data processing, and reduce manual intervention. Continuously identify opportunities to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Deployment & Configuration: Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy new servers and applications, manage configurations, perform system upgrades, and maintain accurate records of system changes. Ensure deployments are validated and operational risks are minimized.
• Incident Management: Independently investigate and manage application and infrastructure incidents, prioritize issues based on business impact, and coordinate with Network, Systems, Development, and Broker teams for timely resolution. Ensure critical trading disruptions are addressed promptly to minimize financial and operational impact.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct detailed root cause analysis of production incidents, identify recurring issues, and implement corrective and preventive measures. Maintain incident documentation and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as Grafana and Checkmk. Analyze system metrics, application logs, and infrastructure performance to identify anomalies and address potential production issues proactively.
• Trade Support & Reconciliation: Coordinate with Trading Members, Brokers,



and Back-office teams to investigate trade-related discrepancies, validate trade data, and resolve operational issues. Ensure accurate trade downloads, position consolidation, and reconciliation of relevant trading records.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with trading, development, network, systems, and back-office teams to resolve complex technical and operational issues. Communicate incident status, coordinate dependencies, and ensure timely execution of critical activities across teams.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for brokers, traders, and internal stakeholders for trade-related discrepancies and production issues. Provide clear updates, manage expectations, and ensure effective communication during time-sensitive incidents.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and incident records. Identify gaps in existing processes and implement improvements to strengthen operational consistency and reliability.
• General Support: Support other teams with technical, administrative, and operational tasks related to projects and infrastructure improvements, as required. Skills And Experience

Experience:
5 years of overall qualified experience, with 5 years of relevant experience in Application Support, Production Support, Trade Support, or a related infrastructure support role. Linux Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments, preferably RedHat/CentOS, including troubleshooting application logs, processes, services, system resources, and infrastructure-related issues. Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python and Bash for log analysis, data extraction, operational automation, troubleshooting, and development of support tools. Production Support: Proven ability to independently monitor, troubleshoot, and support business-critical production applications with a focus on system availability and stability. Incident Management & RCA: Experience handling production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, identifying recurring issues, and implementing preventive measures. Monitoring Tools: Practical experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana and Checkmk, including interpreting metrics, identifying anomalies, and investigating alerts. Database

Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including SQL queries, data validation, and troubleshooting database-related issues. Version Control: Familiarity with Git for maintaining scripts, tracking changes,



and collaborating on automation and support tools. Networking Fundamentals: Good understanding of TCP/IP, connectivity troubleshooting, network latency, and basic network diagnostics. Trading & Financial Systems: Understanding of trading workflows, order management systems, risk systems, trade reconciliation, and post-trade operations is highly desirable. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience Required

• Experience supporting live market data feeds, investigating data gaps or feed disruptions, and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely availability of market data to trading applications is an added advantage.
