About the role
NextAmp builds AI-driven solutions for insurance carriers. Our Insurance Workbench accelerator reads commercial insurance submissions, extracts and validates the data, applies underwriting rules and prepares a ready-to-review file for underwriters. You will manage the rollout and day-to-day operation of the accelerator for US carriers: configuring rules, troubleshooting issues, testing changes, and working with our developers and carrier stakeholders until every issue is closed. The role is visible and stakeholder-facing, so maturity and clear communication matter as much as technical skill. What you will do
• Deployment & configuration: configure underwriting rules, eligibility checks, required documents, routing and class code mappings, and translate business requests into precise configuration changes.
• Troubleshooting: investigate issues using database queries, log files and API test calls; isolate the root cause before engaging developers.
• Issue resolution: give developers clear reproduction steps and evidence, track fixes through release, and verify them before closure.
• Testing: write test cases, run functional and regression tests, support user acceptance testing, and create realistic test data and sample submissions.
• Automation guidance:
direct the automation QA engineer on priority scenarios and expected outcomes.
• Communication: keep carrier stakeholders informed, explain issues in plain business terms, and prepare concise status updates and release notes. What we are looking for 4+years in application support, business systems analysis or QA, with stakeholder-facing experience.
• Strong SQL; comfortable reading application logs and tracing a transaction through a system.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman or similar; able to read JSON requests and responses.
• Proven experience writing test cases, executing test cycles and creating test data.
• Solid aptitude for complex insurance products; US P&C; experience preferred, ideally commercial lines (BOP, general liability, property).
• Mature, composed and clear communicator in written and spoken English. Nice to have
• Project Management/Scrum Master Experience
• Knowledge of underwriting workflows, ACORD forms, loss runs or class codes (SIC, NAICS, ISO).
• Exposure to AI or document-extraction systems.
• Azure monitoring (Application Insights, Log Analytics/KQL); Jira or Azure DevOps; familiarity with Playwright, Selenium or similar automation frameworks. Timings: 4.00pm
