Role Description The Assistant Professor of Operations Management is a full-time, on-site faculty position based at Amity University’s Bengaluru campus. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Operations Management, ensuring alignment with the university’s academic standards and industry expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating course materials, conducting lectures, tutorials, and assessments, mentoring and advising students, and supporting their academic and skilled growth. The faculty member will engage in research and scholarly activities in Operations Management and related fields, contributing to publications,



conferences, and funded projects. Additional duties include participation in curriculum development, departmental meetings, academic committees, and collaboration with industry partners to enhance experiential learning and placements. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong University Teaching and Curriculum Development skills, with the ability to design and deliver rigorous Operations Management courses.
• Candidates should possess Research skills in Operations Management or related disciplines, including the ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to academic conferences.
• Candidates should possess Organizational Behavior and Marketing knowledge that supports integrated teaching of management subjects and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Relevant academic qualifications such as a PhD (or near completion) or a postgraduate degree in Operations Management, Management, or a closely related field.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to engage diverse learners, and commitment to inclusive, student-centered pedagogy.
• Experience with case-based teaching, industry projects, and use of educational technology and learning management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within academic departments and contribute to institutional initiatives and accreditation processes.
• Prior teaching or industry experience in operations, supply chain, or related areas is an advantage.
