Job SummaryWe are looking for a technically competent and detail-oriented HVAC BIM Modeller to join our Bangalore team for large-scale commercial building projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, updating, and maintaining HVAC BIM models using Autodesk Revit, in accordance with project specifications, BIM standards, design drawings, and client requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HVAC modelling for commercial buildings, a good understanding of HVAC systems, coordination with other MEPF disciplines, and the ability to deliver accurate models and drawings within project deadlines. Key Roles and Responsibilities1. HVAC BIM Modelling
• Develop and maintain 3D HVAC BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Model HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, and associated components as applicable to the project scope.
• Model HVAC equipment, including AHUs, FCUs, VAV boxes, fans, dampers, diffusers, grilles, louvers, and other relevant components.
• Interpret and implement HVAC design drawings, layouts, sections, schematics, equipment schedules, and builders' work drawings.
• Maintain appropriate modelling accuracy and the required Level of Development (LOD) as per project requirements.
• Create and modify Revit families and parameters when required. 2. Commercial Building HVAC Systems
• Understand HVAC layouts and system arrangements for large commercial buildings, office towers, retail spaces, IT offices, and mixed-use developments.
• Model supply air, return air, exhaust air, fresh air, and smoke management ductwork as applicable to the design.
• Understand chilled water supply and return piping layouts, equipment connections, and associated HVAC services.
• Coordinate HVAC installations with ceiling layouts, shafts, plant rooms, service corridors, and equipment spaces.
• Follow approved design intent, project specifications, and applicable engineering requirements. 3. BIM Coordination and Clash Detection
• Coordinate HVAC models with electrical, ELV, plumbing, firefighting,



architectural, and structural models.
• Perform model checks and support clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks.
• Identify and resolve clashes involving ducts, pipes, cable trays, structural beams, ceilings, and other building services.
• Participate in coordination meetings and implement agreed comments and clash resolutions.
• Maintain model alignment, coordinates, levels, grids, and worksets in accordance with project requirements. 4. Shop Drawings and Documentation
• Prepare HVAC plans, sections, elevations, installation layouts, and coordinated shop drawings.
• Develop duct routing and piping layouts suitable for construction coordination.
• Prepare schedules, annotations, tags, dimensions, and other required documentation.
• Support the preparation of builders' work drawings and coordinated service penetration information where included in the project scope.
• Incorporate design revisions, consultant comments, and site feedback into the BIM model and drawings.
• Ensure drawings and models are consistent with approved design documents. 5. Model Quality Control and BIM Standards
• Conduct regular quality checks to maintain model accuracy and consistency.
• Follow project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP), modelling guidelines, naming conventions, and information requirements.
• Maintain appropriate Revit view templates, worksets, parameters, filters, and browser organization.
• Follow the required LOD and Level of Information Need as specified by the project.
• Maintain clean, coordinated, and properly organized models.
• Support model audits, issue tracking, and BIM quality control reviews. 6. Team Coordination and Project Delivery
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinators, HVAC Engineers, MEP Designers, and other discipline modellers.
• Complete assigned modelling and documentation tasks within agreed deadlines.
• Report technical issues, missing information, design discrepancies, and coordination risks to the team lead.
• Follow project workflows for model sharing, review, revisions, and submissions.
• Support timely delivery of coordinated BIM models and construction documentation. Educational Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant qualifications in HVAC design, building services, or MEP engineering will be preferred.




• Candidates with appropriate technical education and substantial relevant HVAC BIM modelling experience may also be considered. Required Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, particularly HVAC modelling.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks for model review and clash detection.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC design drawings, equipment layouts, sections, and schematics.
• Understanding of duct sizing, duct routing, fittings, accessories, and HVAC equipment connections.
• Knowledge of chilled water piping and ventilation systems.
• Understanding of Revit worksharing, worksets, view templates, families, parameters, and project coordinates.
• Ability to prepare HVAC shop drawings and coordinated construction layouts.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) will be an advantage. Experience Requirements
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC BIM modelling.
• Experience working on commercial building projects is mandatory.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience in Revit-based HVAC modelling and coordination.
• Experience with large commercial developments, office buildings, IT facilities, retail buildings, or mixed-use projects will be preferred.
• Candidates should demonstrate practical knowledge of MEP coordination and construction documentation. Preferred Competencies
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems in commercial buildings.
• Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Attention to modelling accuracy and drawing quality.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valuable communication skills and willingness to participate in coordination meetings.

• Candidates must be available for technical interviews and demonstrate their practical Revit HVAC modelling capabilities.
• Candidates should be willing to work from the Bangalore office as required by the project.
