Role Description The Continental CDP (Chef de Partie) at CALCUTTA 64 is a full-time, on-site role based in Kharagpur. This role involves preparing and presenting continental dishes to café standards, managing a specific section of the kitchen, and ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and portioning. The Continental CDP will support menu execution, assist in mise en place, maintain hygiene and safety protocols, and coordinate with other kitchen team members during service.



Responsibilities also include monitoring inventory for the assigned section, minimizing wastage, and contributing ideas to improve recipes and kitchen operations. Qualifications
• Strong skills in continental cuisine preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
• Experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably in cafés, bistros, or casual dining restaurants.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage a kitchen section independently, and collaborate with the broader team.
• Basic inventory management skills and attention to portion control and waste reduction.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset aligned with a hospitality-driven culture.
• Culinary certification or formal training in hotel management or culinary arts is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak café hours.
