We explain how investing works in plain language, without hype, tips or return promises, and we build long-term client relationships on that trust. Instagram and YouTube are our primary growth channels. The RoleYou will own the planning, creation and publishing of Merchant Wealth’s content on Instagram and YouTube, with one goal: grow a credible, engaged audience of retail investors who become clients. This is not a generic social media job. Our audience reads closely and our industry is regulated. Good work here is accurate, transparent and compliant, and also engaging. Core ResponsibilitiesContent planning and curation
• Build and run a monthly content calendar for Instagram (Reels, carousels, Stories) and YouTube (long-form videos and Shorts)
• Turn market events, AMFI and SEBI updates and investor-education topics into content ideas
• Maintain a swipe file of high-performing formats and hooks in the Indian finance space Production and publishing
• Write scripts, hooks, captions and on-screen text
• Edit Reels, Shorts and long-form videos (or coordinate with a freelance editor) and design carousels and thumbnails
• Publish and schedule consistently using our scheduling tools
• Keep all content on-brand in voice, visuals and tone Growth and community
• Grow followers, watch time and inbound enquiries on both platforms
• Respond to comments and DMs within a defined turnaround time, and route genuine client enquiries to the founder
• Apply platform best practice: SEO for YouTube titles and descriptions, Instagram keyword and hashtag strategy, posting times and collaborations Analytics and reporting
• Track reach, retention, saves, shares, profile visits and enquiries generated
• Send a short weekly and monthly performance report with what worked, what didn’t and what to change
• Run simple tests on hooks,

• Follow SEBI and AMFI guidelines for distributors in every piece of content
• Include the ARN and the required disclaimers on every relevant asset
• Never publish scheme recommendations, buy/sell calls, return promises or personalised advice

• Strong written English; Hindi or Marathi is a plus
• Hands-on experience creating short-form video (Reels or Shorts) and basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar)
• Working knowledge of Canva & other design/AI tools
• Understanding of how the Instagram and YouTube algorithms reward retention, saves and watch time
• Attention to detail: comfortable verifying every number before it is published Having a public portfolio or a track record of growing your own or a client’s portfolio is an added advantage, but it is not mandatory. Good to have
• Interest in or knowledge of personal finance, mutual funds or the Indian markets
• Experience with a finance, fintech or education brand
• Familiarity with YouTube Studio, Instagram Insights and a scheduling tool such as Metricool
