VP – Enterprise Observability & Security Engineering (Splunk, Datadog)Work shift: US Eastern hours; approximately 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST, with flexibility as specified Role focus: Enterprise monitoring, observability, SIEM, infrastructure engineering, automation and security detection The opportunityWe are looking for a technically solid enterprise infrastructure leader to engineer and evolve the monitoring, observability and security capabilities that support a complex global technology environment. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, telemetry and performance monitoring, security detection, automation and platform architecture. You will lead technical initiatives across enterprise monitoring and security technologies, improve the visibility and resilience of infrastructure and applications, evaluate emerging solutions, and help integrate threat detection and prevention into core enterprise platforms. We are looking for someone who understands how these systems work under the hood—not just someone who manages monitoring tools or coordinates projects. What you will own1. Enterprise monitoring and observability
• Design, engineer, implement and support enterprise-scale monitoring, telemetry aggregation and performance-management platforms.
• Work with platforms such as Splunk, Google SecOps, Datadog and SCOM, as applicable to the environment.
• Develop effective monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting approaches across Windows, Linux/Unix, networks and enterprise infrastructure.
• Work with protocols and telemetry mechanisms such as SNMP, syslog, ICMP, WMI and Windows performance counters. 2. Security detection and infrastructure defense
• Help engineer and implement technologies that strengthen enterprise threat detection, prevention and response.
• Integrate security monitoring and detection practices into infrastructure platforms and business systems.
• Evaluate security technologies against current and emerging infrastructure risks.

• Contribute to the engineering of internet-facing infrastructure and security controls, including data loss prevention, DNS/DHCP and local/global load balancing. 3. Infrastructure engineering and automation
• Apply strong Windows, Linux/Unix, networking and TCP/IP knowledge to diagnose complex monitoring and infrastructure issues.
• Develop automation and integration solutions using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Perl, Java or equivalent scripting technologies.
• Improve platform reliability, operational consistency, monitoring coverage and repeatability.
• Assess new technologies and lead implementation of solutions that deliver measurable operational or security benefits. 4. Technical strategy and delivery
• Define technical roadmaps, architecture standards and implementation practices for enterprise monitoring and management capabilities.
• Lead concurrent engineering projects, including implementations requiring carefully planned production changes.
• Work closely with infrastructure, networking, security and application teams, senior stakeholders and technology vendors.
• Guide technical staff, mentor engineers and provide recommendations on platform architecture and strategic direction. What we are looking for
• 8–12 years of relevant enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, monitoring or security technology experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix administration.
• Practical experience designing, implementing or engineering enterprise monitoring and observability solutions.

• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Google SecOps and monitoring platforms such as Datadog or SCOM.
• Strong understanding of SNMP, syslog, ICMP, WMI, performance counters and infrastructure telemetry.
• Scripting and automation capability using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Perl, Java or comparable technologies.
• Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP.
• Working knowledge of information security principles and infrastructure security technologies.
• Experience contributing to the design or implementation of DLP, DNS/DHCP, load balancing or internet-facing infrastructure.
• Ability to lead technical projects, influence architecture decisions and communicate with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Willingness to work the specified US Eastern-hours shift. Additional experience that will strengthen

your profile
• SIEM integration, log pipelines, security analytics and detection engineering.
• Large-scale monitoring architecture and cross-platform telemetry.
• Enterprise cloud and modern data-centre infrastructure.
• Infrastructure security design, policy implementation and production change management.
• Experience leading senior individual contributors and complex technical delivery. Why consider this role?
• Influence enterprise monitoring, observability and security engineering across a global technology environment.
• Work across infrastructure, networks, monitoring and security rather than in a narrowly defined tool-support role.
• Lead strategic engineering initiatives and evaluate technologies with enterprise-wide impact.
• Combine technical problem-solving, architecture and team leadership. Interested? Apply with details of the monitoring/SIEM platforms you have engineered, the scale of the environments you have supported, your scripting experience and examples of security or infrastructure improvements you have delivered.
