West Mogappair, Chennai Employment Type: Full time Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on Architect with 10+ years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for architectural design, planning, technical drawings, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring design compliance with project specifications, building codes, and client requirements. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling architectural deliverables while actively contributing to design development, drawing preparation, site coordination, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop architectural concepts, layouts, space planning, and detailed design drawings for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, construction details, working drawings, sections, elevations, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, MEP, BIM, and other engineering teams to ensure design compatibility and resolve clashes.
• Prepare design presentations, technical documentation, BOQs, material schedules, and project specifications as required.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, and contractor drawings.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with site engineers and project teams to resolve design discrepancies and execution-related issues.
• Monitor project progress against design schedules and ensure timely submission of architectural deliverables.




• Identify design conflicts, propose practical solutions, and incorporate revisions based on client and project requirements.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings.
• Support tendering, estimation, value engineering, and material selection activities.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation. Required Technical Skills
• AutoCAD: Preparation and modification of architectural drawings and detailed working drawings.
• Revit Architecture: Architectural modelling, documentation, and coordination with BIM teams.
• SketchUp / 3ds Max: 3D modelling and visualization skills are preferred.
• Navisworks: Understanding of model coordination and clash detection is an advantage.
• MS Office: Documentation, reporting, schedules, and presentations. Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.
Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Master's degree in Architecture or a related specialization is an added advantage. Experience & Competencies
• 10+ years of relevant experience in architectural design and construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, detailing, materials, building regulations, and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating with civil, structural, MEP, and BIM teams.
• Ability to work independently on design and technical deliverables, not limited to supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or large-scale engineering and construction projects is preferred.
