We are looking for an experienced Medical Planner with a strong understanding of healthcare planning, clinical workflows, and hospital space programming to develop efficient, functional, and patient-centric healthcare environments.

About the Role
As a Medical Planner, you will be responsible for translating clinical requirements, healthcare operational workflows, and functional needs into well-planned hospital layouts and departmental space programmes. You will work closely with architects, healthcare consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal space utilisation, efficient circulation, patient safety, and seamless hospital operations while maintaining compliance with applicable healthcare planning standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop hospital layouts, departmental plans, and functional space programmes based on project briefs, clinical requirements, and healthcare planning standards.
• Analyse clinical workflows and translate operational requirements into functional and efficient hospital layouts.
• Plan patient, staff, material, and service circulation to support operational efficiency, accessibility, patient safety, and infection control.
• Develop departmental adjacencies, zoning strategies, and space allocation plans to optimise hospital functionality.
• Coordinate with healthcare consultants, architects, MEP teams,



and other stakeholders to integrate medical planning requirements into architectural designs.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate medical planning drawings, schematic layouts, space programmes, and related documentation.
• Ensure alignment between clinical requirements, departmental functionality, building regulations, and applicable healthcare planning guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve space utilisation, circulation, clinical efficiency, and the overall patient and staff experience.
• Review design proposals and provide medical planning inputs throughout design development and project coordination stages.
• Support project teams in resolving planning challenges and maintaining design accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure timely completion of planning deliverables in line with project schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Stay updated on healthcare planning practices, hospital design guidelines, clinical technologies, and emerging industry trends. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.
Arch.); Master's Degree in Architecture (M.
Arch.) in Healthcare preferred.
• 3 to 9 years of professional experience, preferably in medical planning, healthcare architecture, or hospital planning.




• Strong understanding of hospital planning, clinical workflows, departmental adjacencies, and healthcare space programming.
• Experience in planning hospital departments and translating clinical requirements into functional layouts.
• Knowledge of patient, staff, material, and service circulation, infection control principles, and patient safety considerations.
• Familiarity with applicable healthcare planning standards, building regulations, and hospital design guidelines.
• Experience coordinating with architects, healthcare consultants, MEP teams, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, space planning, design coordination, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
