Role Description The Associate Dean Discipline is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh, responsible for overseeing and maintaining student discipline across the university. The role involves implementing and monitoring discipline-related policies, guiding and mentoring students on conduct standards, and handling misconduct cases in a fair and transparent manner. The Associate Dean Discipline will coordinate with faculty, student services, and administration to promote a positive campus culture, conduct awareness sessions on codes of conduct, and ensure adherence to regulatory and institutional norms. Daily activities include reviewing incident reports, leading disciplinary committees or hearings, documenting outcomes and actions, and recommending improvements to disciplinary procedures. The role also includes contributing to policy development, supporting conflict resolution initiatives, and fostering an inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment. Qualifications
• Strong leadership, team management,



and decision-making abilities to oversee discipline processes and guide staff and students effectively.
• Discipline & Student Conduct Cell, 24-48-10 case handling, grievance SLA monitoring, anti-ragging prevention and enforcement, and statutory committee interfaces.
• Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations, mediate conflicts, and maintain trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in academic administration, student affairs, or disciplinary governance, preferably in a higher education or similar institutional setting.
• Discipline & Student Conduct Cell, 24-48-10 case handling, grievance SLA monitoring, anti-ragging prevention and enforcement, and statutory committee interfaces.
• Sound understanding of institutional policies, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in student conduct, ethics, and campus safety.
• Proven ability to analyze complex situations, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure confidentiality and fairness in disciplinary actions.
• Master’s degree or higher in Education, Management, Law, Psychology, or a related field; prior experience in a dean or associate dean capacity is an advantage.

• High level of integrity, resilience, and professionalism, with the capacity to work on-site in Chandigarh and collaborate across departments.
