Job Title: Pega Test Engineer

Remote Open Positions: 1 Employment Type: Contract Duration: Short-term contract (year-end project; duration to be confirmed) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Pega Test Engineer with 5–6 years of software testing experience, preferably with hands-on experience in testing Pega applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Pega Platform, case management workflows, business rules, API testing, and database validation.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of Pega applications.
• Validate Pega case lifecycles, stages, processes, assignments, queues, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Test Pega application rules, including decision tables, decision trees, data transforms, and activities.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAP UI.
• Execute SQL queries to validate backend data, database updates, and data integrity.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using Jira, ALM, or similar defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve defects and ensure application quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, test execution, defect triage, and release validation.
• Maintain test documentation, test execution reports,



and defect status updates. Required Skills and Qualifications
• 5–6 years of experience in software testing, preferably with hands-on Pega application testing.
• Good understanding of Pega Platform architecture and application components.
• Experience testing Pega case management, including case lifecycles, stages, processes, assignments, queues, and SLAs.
• Knowledge of Pega rules and configurations, including decision tables, decision trees, data transforms, and activities.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAP UI.
• Good SQL knowledge for backend data validation and database testing.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, ALM, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodology, and the defect life cycle.
• Excellent analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working on enterprise-level Pega BPM or case management applications.
• Familiarity with Pega application integrations and web services.
• Experience in regression testing, integration testing, and production issue validation.
• Exposure to test automation is an added advantage. Ideal Candidate Profile
• The ideal candidate will have solid functional testing skills, a solid understanding of Pega workflows and business rules, and the ability to independently validate application functionality, integrations, and backend data.
