Role Description Responsible for maintaining vehicle fitness and availability through timely servicing, breakdown resolution, workshop coordination and maintenance cost control. Maintain complete vehicle-wise records of defects, repairs, service history and expenses. Qualifications
• Maintain a vehicle-wise record of reported faults, pending repairs, servicing, replaced parts, warranty and maintenance expenditure.
• Coordinate with drivers to identify mechanical, electrical, tyre, battery and other vehicle-related issues.
• Plan preventive maintenance based on running kilometres, time intervals and manufacturer recommendations.
• Arrange suitable garages, authorised service centres and roadside assistance for scheduled repairs and breakdowns.
• Evaluate repair quotations, negotiate rates and obtain approval before authorising expenditure.




• Track each repair from complaint registration to completion, including estimated cost and expected vehicle release date.
• Verify repair quality, invoices and replaced-part details; obtain driver feedback before closing the complaint.
• Track tyre and battery life, replacements and warranty claims.
• Identify repeat breakdowns, investigate causes and recommend corrective action.
• Coordinate with Operations to schedule maintenance and minimise disruption to trips.
• Follow up with vehicle owners for maintenance and fitness of attached/vendor-owned vehicles, as applicable.
• Maintain reefer unit servicing and repair records wherever applicable.
• Submit daily maintenance status and monthly vehicle-wise cost reports. Required Qualification & Skills
• Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or ITI in Diesel Mechanic/Motor Vehicle Mechanic; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
• Hands-on knowledge of commercial vehicles, including pickups and trucks.
• Ability to assess faults, repair requirements, spare parts and workshop quotations.
• Experience in garage/vendor coordination and breakdown handling.
• Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and maintenance reporting.
• Solid follow-up, negotiation and coordination skills.
• Availability to coordinate urgent breakdown support and travel when required. Key Performance Measures
• Vehicle availability and maintenance downtime.
• Preventive servicing completed on schedule.
• Breakdown resolution time and repeat-fault frequency.
• Vehicle-wise maintenance cost and cost per kilometre.
