HR & Talent Acquisition Manager | CodeNicely | Raipur (On-site) | Full-time CodeNicely is a bootstrapped software product studio from Raipur, founded in 2017 by NIT Raipur engineers. We've built web, mobile and AI products for 50+ companies across the US, UK, Australia, India and the Middle East. We were the tech partner behind GimBooks (YC-selected, $4M+ ARR), Vahak and HealthPotli. We're looking for one person to own hiring, people operations and day-to-day discipline for our 25+ member office. Payroll, attendance and leave run on HRNicely, our AI HRMS. Hiring runs on RecruitNicely, our AI ATS. That leaves you free to focus on finding outstanding people and building a disciplined team they want to stay in.
What you'll do
Talent acquisition
• Plan hiring with the founders and team leads
• Source actively through LinkedIn, referrals, campuses and communities
• Run screening, coordinate interviews and close offers
• Lead intern and fresher hiring
• Build CodeNicely's employer brand Discipline & office conduct
• Enforce attendance, punctuality, leave and office policies every day
• Track late arrivals, unplanned leaves and absenteeism, and act on them
• Handle conduct issues fairly, through conversations, warnings and documented action when needed
• Keep the office running professionally and the work culture accountable People & HR operations
• Own onboarding, exits and employee records
• Review payroll inputs and ensure compliance: PF, ESIC, PT, gratuity, POSH
• Build HR policies and the employee handbook
• Run probation reviews and appraisal cycles
• Drive engagement, 1:1s and culture
• Be the trusted first point of contact for the team What we're looking for
• 4–7 years in HR, including 2+ years of hands-on tech hiring
• Generalist experience in a startup or IT services company
• Working knowledge of Indian labour law and compliance
• Firm but fair: you can hold people accountable while keeping their trust
• Comfort being the only HR person and doing hands-on work
• Strong English and Hindi communication
• Bonus: a network in Raipur or central India colleges, and comfort with AI tools Why join
