· The Lead Application engineering is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and execution of Application engineering activities for assigned projects.
· The role provides technical leadership to the engineering team, ensures quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs, and coordinates with internal departments, customers, vendors, and project teams. . Technical Leadership
· Lead and guide the team in the design and analysis of pipe support systems, including hangers, anchors, guides, and special supports.
· Review and approve engineering calculations, support designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
· Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and customer requirements.
· Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering and design-related issues.
· Support the development and implementation of engineering best practices and standardization. 2. Project Management & Coordination
· Plan, allocate, and monitor engineering activities for assigned projects.
· Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables within agreed project schedules.




· Coordinate with piping, structural, mechanical, procurement, manufacturing, and project teams.
· Participate in customer and project meetings and provide technical support as required.
· Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and take appropriate corrective action. 3. Team Management
· Lead, mentor, and develop Application engineerings, Designers, Draughtsmen, and GETs.
· Allocate work based on project priorities and individual competencies.
· Review team performance and provide technical feedback and coaching.
· Support competency development and knowledge sharing within the team.
· Ensure effective coordination and communication across the engineering team. 4. Engineering Documentation & Quality
· Ensure preparation and review of support drawings, specifications, bills of materials, calculations, and technical reports.
· Review vendor drawings and technical documentation where applicable.
· Ensure proper engineering documentation and revision control.
· Maintain high quality standards and ensure deliverables meet project and customer requirements.
· Participate in technical and quality reviews. 5. Site & Technical Support
· Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, construction, commissioning, and project execution as required.
· Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex site or design-related issues.
· Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for technical clarifications.
· Visit project sites or customer locations when required. 6.

· Ensure adherence to relevant engineering standards, project requirements, and company procedures.
· Stay updated on industry developments, technologies, and best practices in Application engineeringing.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and efficiency enhancement.
· Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements. Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
· Minimum 6 –12 years of experience in Application engineering, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or related industries.
· Strong knowledge of pipe support design, pipe stress analysis, and support selection.
· Experience in leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, API, and other applicable standards.
· Proficiency in engineering and analysis software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or equivalent.
· Experience with 3D modelling software such as PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent is preferred.
· Knowledge of structural engineering principles and analysis software such as STAAD Pro is an advantage.
