Role Description The Purchase Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for managing procurement activities for industrial automation projects and products. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders in line with project requirements and budgets. The role involves coordinating with engineering, production, and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and equipment, while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.



The Purchase Engineer also monitors vendor performance, maintains accurate procurement records, and supports cost optimization and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and negotiation techniques.
• Understanding of industrial automation components and systems (e.g., motion control, sensors, drives, PLCs, and vision systems).
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, bills of materials, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in using ERP or purchasing software, and basic MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail, cost awareness, and problem-solving ability.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in purchasing or supply chain within manufacturing or industrial automation is an advantage.
