Role Description The Senior Engineer Nondestructive Testing and Retrofitting will lead and execute structural assessments, NDT investigations, and retrofitting solutions for a variety of building types. This full-time, on-site role is based in Hyderabad and involves planning and conducting field inspections, supervising NDT testing, interpreting test data, and preparing technical reports and recommendations. The position includes designing and reviewing strengthening and retrofitting schemes, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and clients, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The Senior Engineer will also oversee quality control procedures, mentor junior engineers and technicians, and support the issuance of structural stability certifications. Routine responsibilities include site visits, documentation, client communication,



and participation in project review meetings. Qualifications
• Strong technical expertise in structural engineering, including RCC behavior, structural analysis, and design of strengthening and retrofitting solutions.
• Hands-on experience with nondestructive testing methods (e.g., rebound hammer, ultrasonic pulse velocity, core testing coordination, rebar locator) and interpretation of test results.
• Proficiency in using structural engineering software and tools (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, or similar) for analysis of existing structures and retrofit design.
• Knowledge of relevant national and international codes and standards for concrete structures, retrofitting, durability, and structural safety.
• Ability to manage site activities, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and supervise technicians and junior engineers during inspections and repair works.
• Robust report-writing and documentation skills, including preparation of assessment reports, test summaries, retrofit proposals, and stability certification documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, consultants, and contractors, and for explaining technical findings clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• Several years of relevant experience in structural assessment, NDT, and retrofitting projects; experience with heritage or complex structures is an advantage.
