Role Description The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers aligned with kanaQ Innovations’ quality, cost, and delivery standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting supplier market research, performing supplier assessments, managing supply base performance, and supporting supplier development initiatives. The specialist will negotiate contracts and pricing, collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, and ensure timely and reliable supply of materials and services. The role also involves continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tracking key sourcing metrics, and contributing to strategic decisions that strengthen the company’s supply chain resilience.

Key Responsibilities
• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conduct market research to identify new sourcing and procurement of Ferrous, Non Ferrous Raw materials, BOM components.




• Possess experience in sourcing the large to mid volumes semifinished RM of Billets, Ingots, blooms and finished RM like rounds, plates, sheets and wires in ferrous and non-ferrous.
• Support the procurement team in supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Collaborate with the Business development team to understand sourcing requirements.
• Maintain and update supplier databases and records.
• Exposure on Zero based costing and cost analysis and assist in the preparation of Procurement reports and presentations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and managing P2P process at KanaQ and RFQ process.
• Help resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
• Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. Qualifications
• B.
Tech (Mechanical or equivalent) with 3-7 years experience in Sourcing and Procurement
• Robust supplier evaluation and supplier development skills, with experience assessing supplier capabilities, quality, and reliability.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for data-driven decision-making in sourcing, cost analysis, and supplier performance tracking.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation, including commercial terms, service levels, and risk mitigation.
• Experience in supply management, covering sourcing, procurement planning, inventory coordination, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and sourcing tools, and comfort working with spreadsheets and analytics software.
• Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
