Job Opening: Junior Accountant – Accounts & Taxation

Location: Mumbai (On-site, Full time)

We are looking for a candidate with experience in Indian accounting and Indian taxation, who is well versed with accounting terms and concepts.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly/year-end closing procedures to ensure timely submission of reports.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts payable/receivable transactions to identify discrepancies and errors.
- Provide support to senior accountants on complex accounting matters related to GST, TDS, bookkeeping, etc.
- Support seniors in reconciliations (Reco), GST and TDS return filing, and day-to-day accounting work.

Job Requirements :





- 1-5 years of experience in accountancy or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel (HLOOKUP & VLOOKUP) and knowledge of Tally ERP and Prime
- Strong understanding of Indian tax laws (GST) and labor regulations (TDS).
- Excellent English communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

What We Offer :

- Experience of working with international clients – we work with clients based in Uganda.
- Complete training in Uganda taxation and accounting will be provided after joining. Prior knowledge of Uganda taxation or accounting is not required.
