Overall Job Purpose

The Financial Reporting team at M&G; Investments includes the Revenue Management team, which is responsible for the management of revenue earned by the M&G; Investments Group (MGG). The wider financial reporting team also has responsibility for the financial, statutory and regulatory reporting for MGG.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Revenue Management team in a key role focused on the calculation and review of Performance Fees, while also serving as the Financial Reporting Teams Controls Champion.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

- Lead oversight and calculation of performance-related fees
- Oversee governance of performance fee and carried interest processes, including methodology documentation and approvals
- Own and enhance the Revenue Management control framework, ensuring clear design and consistent operation
- Drive Key Control Assessments (KCA), including evidence validation and control effectiveness reviews
- Act as primary contact for Internal and External Audit, coordinating requests, walkthroughs and closure of audit actions
- Maintain and enhance process documentation (Work Instruction Templates and controls) in line with Operational Risk standards
- Manage Models and User Developed Application (MUDA) governance, including inventory, risk assessment and policy compliance
- Collaborate across Finance, Risk and business teams to design/improve controls and processes
- Support control design for new initiatives including reconciliations, invoicing controls and system implementations
- Provide regular updates to governance forums on control performance, risks and improvements
- Completing ad hoc tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience:

- Experience of calculating and reviewing large and complex performance fees within an international asset management company is essential.
- Understanding of internal controls, operational risk frameworks and governance.
- Experience in using Revport is desirable
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of SUN, Tagetik, Oracle ERP and Power BI an advantage
- Experience with SQL is desirable.

Educational Qualification:

- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of seven years of post-qualification experience, including at least five years of relevant experience within an Asset Management income accounting and reporting environment.
- CA / MBA
