Salesforce Business Systems Analyst - Contractor

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Business Systems Analyst. This role combines business analysis, Salesforce administration, solution design, project coordination, production troubleshooting, testing, release support, and ongoing enhancements related to sales and marketing processes.

The Salesforce Business Systems Analyst serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting Lead-to-Prospect processes and collaborating closely with Product Management, RevOps, Marketing, Sales, Data, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into clear Salesforce solutions and implementation plans.
- Enhance Salesforce functionality using flows and other declarative capabilities of the Salesforce platform using Salesforce best practices.
- Monitor Salesforce platform performance and errors.
- Serve as the Tier 1 Support resource to review and triage user reported issues.
- Perform Unit Testing / Functional testing and support business stakeholders with UAT.
- Perform data fixes and bulk record updates.
- Investigate, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve Salesforce production issues involving automation, validation rules, Flows, Apex, permissions, integrations, and data synchronization.
- Analyze existing business processes, Salesforce configurations, Flows, and Apex code to understand system behavior and identify required changes.
- Analyze integrations and data synchronization issues involving Salesforce and external systems.
- Participate in solution design discussions and evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes.
- Identify process gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.




- Create / maintain process and solution documentation.

Qualifications / Experience

- 3-5 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Systems Analyst, Salesforce Administrator, or a similar role.
- Strong Salesforce administration and configuration experience.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Flows, automation, permissions, validation rules, and data management.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting complex Salesforce processes and production issues.
- Experience supporting Lead-to-Opportunity and sales and marketing processes, including Lead and Contact routing, deduping, merging etc.
- Ability to read and analyze Apex code strongly preferred.
- Experience with data management, testing, User Acceptance Testing, and release support.
- Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate work across business and technical teams and operate independently.

Systems / Tools Experience

- Required: Salesforce (especially Sales Cloud), Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce Workbench, Salesforce Flow Builder
- Preferred: LeanData, Marketo, Snowflake, Copado, Jira, ServiceNow

Salesforce Certifications

- Required: Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Preferred: Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Application Builder, Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer - I
