About the Role

We are looking for a General Manager to lead the Hyderabad center end to end. You will be the reporting line for everyone in the office and the person accountable for making every vertical run well delivering for clients, building a strong working culture, keeping the office running smoothly, and finding ways to grow the business. This is a hands-on leadership role, not an HR or purely operational one.

Key responsibilities

Leadership and culture

- Serve as the single reporting line for all Hyderabad staff; set priorities, run regular 1:1s and team reviews.
- Build a dynamic, accountable and collaborative culture across verticals; break down silos between teams.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts between individuals, teams and stakeholders quickly and fairly.
- Coach and develop vertical leads; identify future leaders and build succession depth.
- Own team KPIs and performance reviews, working with HR systems rather than administering them.

Operations and delivery

- Ensure every vertical (Healthcare IT, Marketing, Technology, Procurement and others) meets client SLAs, quality and timelines.
- Act as the senior escalation point for client delivery issues and the main Hyderabad contact for US leadership.
- Plan capacity, staffing and resourcing as the office grows from ~20 to ~50 people.
- Run weekly and monthly business reviews with clear dashboards on delivery, utilization and client health.

Business development

- Identify upselling and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients and new service lines the center can offer.
- Support proposals,



solutioning, pricing inputs and client presentations with the US team.
- Represent Modern Signal in the Hyderabad business community, industry forums and talent networks.

Administration and governance

- Oversee facilities, vendors, office budget, IT assets and day-to-day administration.
- Ensure statutory, labor-law and client compliance (including data-security and HIPAA expectations for healthcare work).
- Partner with finance on budgets, cost control and intercompany billing inputs.

Technology and automation

- Champion the use of technology across the office collaboration tools, AI assistants, workflow automation and dashboards.
- Identify manual processes and drive them toward automation, measuring time and cost saved.

Required

- 7-10 years of qualified experience, including at least 3 years managing a team (10+ people preferred).
- Experience working with international (ideally US) clients or stakeholders.
- Hands-on exposure to at least two of: service delivery, business development, operations, administration.
- Strong working knowledge of collaboration, project-management and automation tools; comfortable with AI-assisted workflows, Business-value decisions & Conflict resolution .

Preferred

- MBA or equivalent management qualification.
- Experience in a startup or scale-up center (e.g., growing from 20 to 100+ people).
- Exposure to Healthcare IT, IT services, GCCs or managed services.
- Familiarity with Indian labor law, statutory compliance and HRMS platforms such as Keka.
