Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trading Application Tester and L1 support to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing complex trading applications, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards, and providing a seamless user experience. The candidate will collaborate with vendors, Business analyst, and other team members to identify issues, perform rigorous testing, and provide solutions to ensure high-quality, bug-free software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for trading applications and FIX flows (e.g., market data, order execution, risk management, etc.)

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for pre canned and inhouse Algorithms

• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on trading systems

• Test various types of trading platforms and Algorithms to ensure they function correctly under different market conditions

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to ensure clear and complete understanding of product/Algo features

• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and developers to ensure full coverage of requirements and accurate implementation

• Identify, report, and track defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)

• Work with the development team/ Vendors to reproduce and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution

• Conduct stress, load, and performance testing to ensure systems can handle high volumes of trading transactions and data

• Perform regression testing after bug fixes, enhancements, and upgrades

• Ensure the application's data accuracy, security, and performance on all platforms





• Maintain and improve test automation scripts and frameworks

• Prepare detailed test reports and provide insights on test results, risk assessments, and issues found during testing

• Stay up to date with industry trends, testing tools, and techniques related to trading applications

• Provide frontline L1 operational support for mission-critical trading applications by monitoring system health, triaging real-time incidents, and coordinating escalations to ensure uninterrupted market operations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience (1-3 years) in testing trading applications, financial software, or related domain

• Strong understanding of trading workflows, including order management, High touch, low touch, DMA, Execution and Arb Algorithms, trade execution, real-time market data, and risk management

• Experience with various testing types (functional, regression, performance, UAT, etc.)

• Experience in manual testing and a solid understanding of automated testing

• Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA or similar

• Understanding of security and compliance requirements within the Trading application industry

• Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of Audit and Approval process will be an added advantage

Robust experience in Algorithms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field

• Knowledge of trading platforms such as OmneNest, Kambala, Greek, U Trade etc

• Basic knowledge of FIX protocol and related order flows

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Experience in testing APIs and web services.
