Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Branch Credit Manager to lead the credit function for a leading fintech organisation. The role owns the end-to-end credit lifecycle for the branch and region from customer visit and Personal Discussion (PD), income assessment and bureau review, to credit appraisal memo(CAM), sanction recommendation and file login with the Lending Partner with a strong focus on credit quality, policy adherence, risk management and business support.

The incumbent will personally underwrite cases using a structured PD questionnaire and the Assessed. Income Calculator and review complex and low-value affordable proposals.

Roles & Responsibilities Branch Credit Manager

- Manage end-to-end credit appraisal, underwriting, risk assessment, and sanction recommendations for Home Loans, Affordable Housing Finance, and Loan Against Property (LAP).
- Conduct customer Personal Discussions (PD) and field visits to assess the applicant’s business profile, income, repayment capacity, and property details.
- Analyze bank statements, CIBIL/CRIF reports, GST records, financial statements, and other relevant documents to evaluate creditworthiness.




- Assess income for self-employed and informal-income applicants using the Assessed Income Calculator and other supporting documents.
- Calculate FOIR and evaluate repayment capacity to ensure compliance with credit policies and lending guidelines.
- Prepare and review Credit Appraisal Memos (CAM) with accurate financial analysis, supporting documentation, and explicit credit recommendations.
- Ensure complete documentation and timely login of credit files into lending partners’ systems.
- Review complex and affordable housing loan proposals while maintaining credit quality and minimizing risk exposure.
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, lending partner guidelines, compliance requirements, and defined approval limits.
- Coordinate with Sales, Business, Operations, and Lending Partner teams to facilitate smooth processing and timely turnaround of loan applications.
- Monitor branch-level credit performance, maintain underwriting quality, and support sustainable business growth.
- Manage and guide the branch credit function while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in credit decisions.
