D&S; Med Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled, and experienced Radiology Medical Coder to join our growing team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes for a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services.

The ideal candidate must possess exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to speak and write without grammatical errors, ensuring smooth collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Role & responsibilities

Code Assignment

- Review complex radiology reports thoroughly.
- Analyze medical documentation for accuracy.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes.
- Apply correct CPT procedure codes.
- Utilize accurate HCPCS Level II codes.

Modality Coverage

- Code for a diverse spectrum of imaging modalities.
- Process X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
- Handle Ultrasounds and Nuclear Medicine reports.
- Manage Radiation Oncology coding.
- Process Interventional Radiology (IR) cases.

Denials Management

- Review coding-related claim denials.
- Analyze root causes of rejections.
- Assist in reworking denied claims.
- Prepare and submit claim appeals.




- Maximize reimbursement through accurate corrections.

Collaboration

- Partner closely with the billing staff.
- Coordinate with clinical teams regularly.
- Work with quality auditors to resolve issues.
- Transparent up documentation discrepancies quickly.
- Fix coding mismatches efficiently.

Productivity & Quality

- Meet daily production targets consistently.
- Exceed accuracy goals regularly.
- Align performance with established SLAs.
- Maintain high quality standards under pressure.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience: 3 to 13 years of hands-on medical coding experience, with a dedicated, strong focus on radiology coding.
- Education: Any graduation degree.
- Certifications: Medical coding certifications are a plus but Not Mandatory.
