About the Role

The Utility Billing Analyst supports the utility billing, payment, and recovery process across the portfolio, from utility setup during development through stabilized operations. Working remotely from an offshore location, this role processes and monitors utility activity in our third party utility management platform (Conservice), helps ensure utility bills are paid accurately and on time, supports resident billing and vacant cost recovery, and helps make sure utility expense flows correctly to property financial statements. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, comfortable working across time zones, and partners closely with the Corporate Controller, Property Management, Development, and Residential Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

- Review, process, and monitor utility invoices and payments.
- Maintain utility accounts across multiple properties.
- Resolve missing invoices, late fees, duplicate charges, and payment discrepancies.
- Support resident billing, submetering, and vacant-unit cost recovery.
- Reconcile utility expenses and recovery transactions.
- Prepare billing reports, expense summaries, and financial documentation
- Partner with Property Management, Accounting, Development,



and utility providers
Identify ways to improve billing accuracy and process efficiency

Experience:

- 3 or more years of experience in utility billing, accounts payable, property accounting, or a similar role, preferably supporting U.S. multifamily or affordable housing clients.
- Experience with a third party utility management platform (such as Conservice or Yardi YES) strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of RUBS, submetering, and vacant cost recovery.
- Familiarity with LIHTC and HUD utility allowance requirements preferred.
- Property management and accounting software experience required (EliseAI, Yardi, NetSuite, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams and Outlook.
- Ability to keep accurate, timely records and reconcile large data sets.
- Bachelor's or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

- Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with U.S. based teams, vendors, and utility providers.
- Availability to work hours that overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours and to join scheduled video meetings.
- Reliable high speed internet, a dedicated and quiet workspace, and a dependable backup power or connectivity plan.
- Excellent listening and customer service skills.
- Self starter; ability to learn quickly and work independently with limited direct supervision.
