Summary of Position

We are looking for detail-oriented and result-driven candidates for the position of Intern Associate Medical Summarization. The role involves reviewing medical records and summarizing relevant medical information, including mortality and morbidity risk factors, based on attending physician reports.

Selected candidates will undergo a 3-month internship and training program to develop the necessary skills in medical record review, medical summarization, and US insurance processes. Upon successful completion of the internship and evaluation of performance, candidates will have the opportunity to transition into a full time employment role.

Responsibilities

- Review medical records and extract relevant medical information into the prescribed format.
- Identify and summarize significant medical conditions relevant to life and disability insurance.
- Analyze medical reports to identify mortality and morbidity risk factors based on established guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency while reviewing and entering medical information.
- Develop knowledge of medical terminology, medical conditions, and insurance summarization processes.




- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and comply with applicable data privacy guidelines.
- Meet quality standards and productivity targets with guidance from the training team.
- Participate in training sessions, assessments, and feedback discussions to improve performance.
- Collaborate with team members and adhere to organizational policies and process requirements.

Requirements

- Graduates or postgraduates from clinical streams such as Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or Allied Medical Sciences.
- Graduates or postgraduates from Life Sciences streams, including B.Sc./M.Sc. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic typing skills and proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy is an added advantage.
