We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Surgical Assistant Doctor to assist surgeons during surgical procedures, provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care, and ensure the smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre (OT). The candidate should possess sound clinical knowledge, strong coordination skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient safety and medical standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures and operations as required.
- Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and review medical histories, reports, and investigation results.
- Monitor patients vital signs and overall clinical condition before and after surgery.
- Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and surgical site preparation.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OT technicians, and nursing staff to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
- Ensure adherence to sterilization protocols, infection control measures, and OT safety standards.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patients recovery as directed by the treating team.
- Maintain accurate patient records, surgical notes, and other medical documentation.
- Ensure the availability and readiness of surgical instruments, equipment,



and essential medical supplies.
- Assist in emergency situations and support timely patient management within the scope of clinical responsibilities.
- Coordinate patient transfers between wards, the Operation Theatre, ICU, and recovery room.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, patient confidentiality requirements, and medical ethics.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
- Valid medical registration with the relevant State Medical Council or applicable medical authority.
- Previous experience in surgery or an Operation Theatre is preferred.
- Good clinical assessment and patient management skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and OT procedures.
