JOB DESCRIPTION OPERATIONS MANAGER

Position: Operations Manager

Location: Plant 151, Noida

Department: Plant Operations

Reporting To: Plant Head / Management

Experience: 5-10 years in factory/plant operations preferred

About the Role:

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and administration of Plant 151. The person will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the factory, effective labour management, machine availability, maintenance, security, safety and overall plant discipline.

The candidate should be comfortable working on the factory floor and coordinating with workers, supervisors, maintenance teams, security personnel and management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Operations

- Manage day-to-day operations of Plant 151.

-Ensure smooth and disciplined functioning of the factory.

- Monitor manpower deployment and ensure proper utilisation of labour.

- Coordinate with production and other departments for smooth operations.

- Ensure factory premises, production areas and common facilities are maintained properly.

2. Labour & Manpower Management

- Handle contract workers, helpers, operators and other plant manpower.

- Maintain attendance, shift deployment and manpower records.

- Coordinate with contractors for labour requirements.

- Handle day-to-day labour-related issues and maintain discipline.

- Ensure proper compliance with company rules and factory policies.

3. Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor availability and working condition of machines and equipment.

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.

- Ensure timely reporting and resolution of machine breakdowns.

- Maintain records of machine maintenance and breakdowns.

- Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external service providers.

4. Computer & Documentation





- Should have good working knowledge of computers.

- Proficiency in *MS Excel, Word, email and basic ERP/software systems* preferred.

- Maintain daily plant reports, attendance records, maintenance records and other operational data.

- Prepare regular reports for management.

5. Security

- Manage and supervise security personnel.

- Ensure proper entry/exit control for employees, visitors, vehicles and materials.

- Monitor CCTV and security systems.

- Ensure proper material movement and gate-pass procedures.

- Maintain discipline and security within the factory premises.

6. Factory Safety

- Ensure implementation of factory safety procedures.

- Conduct regular checks of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, electrical safety and other safety equipment.

- Ensure workers follow required PPE and safety practices.

- Report and escalate safety incidents immediately.

- Coordinate fire and emergency drills.

- Ensure the factory remains clean, protected and compliant with company safety standards.

7. Housekeeping & Facility Management

- Supervise housekeeping and cleanliness of the plant.

- Ensure toilets, common areas, production areas and external premises are properly maintained.

- Coordinate basic facility requirements, repairs and utility-related issues.

- Ensure proper waste disposal and overall plant hygiene.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Smooth day-to-day functioning of Plant 151.

- Labour attendance and discipline.

- Reduction in machine downtime through timely maintenance coordination.

- Factory security and prevention of material/security incidents.

- Safety compliance and zero avoidable safety incidents.

- Cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

- Timely submission of plant reports and records.

- Effective control of plant administration and operating expenses.
