About the team:

The Credit team at slice ensures responsible lending and manages credit risk across products. The team evaluates loan applications, monitors portfolio performance, and collaborates with branches and operations teams to maintain a healthy and profitable credit portfolio. It’s a high-impact, detail-oriented team focused on balancing growth with risk management.

About the role:

As a Zonal Credit Manager, you will own credit operations and portfolio management for an entire zone. You will lead branch credit teams, ensure adherence to policies, mitigate risks, drive credit growth, and collaborate with leadership to implement zone-wide strategies. This role is key in maintaining a healthy, profitable, and compliant credit portfolio across all branches.

What You will do:

- Oversee and guide credit operations across all branches in the zone
- Approve and monitor high-value or complex credit proposals
- Ensure portfolio quality by tracking delinquencies, early warning signals, and recovery actions
- Mentor and lead Area and Branch Credit Managers to strengthen credit assessment and risk management capabilities
- Drive adherence to RBI guidelines, regulatory norms, and internal credit policies across the zone
- Analyze regional credit data to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities
- Collaborate with operations, risk, and leadership teams to improve processes and optimize turnaround times
- Prepare MIS and reports on portfolio performance, approvals, and delinquencies for senior management

What you will need:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field; professional certifications (CA, CFA, or similar) are a plus
- 8–12 years of experience in credit appraisal, underwriting, or risk management,



with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to manage multiple branches or a zone, with strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in credit policies, portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and credit/loan management systems
