Role Description This is a full-time, in office WordPress Developer role based in New Delhi. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress-based websites and landing pages that support Startup Story®’s content and community initiatives.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing themes and plugins, implementing responsive layouts, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role involves collaborating with designers and content teams to translate creative concepts into performant, user-friendly web experiences, while monitoring site performance, security,



and scalability. The WordPress Developer will also troubleshoot technical issues, manage updates, and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform’s user experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.
- Candidates should possess experience in Back-End Web Development for WordPress, including PHP, database integration, and plugin customization.
- Candidates should possess Web Design and UX/UI skills to create clean, accessible, and user-centered interfaces.
- Candidates should possess solid Web Development skills, including theme development, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Experience with WordPress CMS, custom post types, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, analytics tools, and website optimization techniques is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
