Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Team Leader with strong hands-on expertise in accounting, financial statement preparation, and finalization of accounts. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in managing accounting operations, reviewing team members’ work, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and coordinating month-end and year-end closing activities.

The candidate should possess sound accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Finalization of Accounts: Lead the preparation and finalization of financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and supporting schedules.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Team Management: Supervise, guide, and review the work of accounting team members, ensuring quality and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Coordinate closing activities, review account balances, identify discrepancies, and ensure proper reconciliations.
- Statutory Compliance Support:



Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for audit requirements, statutory reporting, and related documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify accounting discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and improve the efficiency of accounting processes.
- Client & Internal Coordination: Coordinate with management, clients, auditors, and other stakeholders for accounting-related matters, as applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; additional skilled qualifications such as CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in leading or supervising an accounting team.
- Strong hands-on experience in finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
- Good knowledge of ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, month-end closing, and year-end closing procedures.
- Experience in accounting software such as Tally, ZOHO Books, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and review skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and team management abilities.a
