Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Vendor Manager to manage vendor relationships, sourcing, procurement, and service delivery for residential interior design projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of interior materials, vendor negotiations, cost management, quality control, and project execution timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors, contractors, suppliers, and service partners for residential interior projects.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network for modular furniture, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, civil work, hardware, lighting, and other interior materials.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, and commercial agreements to achieve cost efficiency.
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to approved budgets.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, workmanship, and service standards.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, project management, and site execution teams to ensure timely material delivery and work completion.
- Ensure vendors meet project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and agreed timelines.
- Track purchase orders, material availability, delivery schedules, invoices, and vendor payments in coordination with the finance team.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and maintain vendor databases, rate cards, and service agreements.
- Resolve vendor-related issues, including material delays,



quality concerns, pricing disputes, and execution challenges.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, alternative sourcing, and process improvement.
- Build long-term vendor partnerships while ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably in residential interior design.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, modular furniture, hardware, finishes, and installation services.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, vendor coordination, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, quotation comparison, budgeting, and commercial negotiations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and vendor/procurement management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working with residential interior design firms or modular interior companies.
- Established network of interior vendors, contractors, and material suppliers.
- Experience managing vendors across multiple projects or locations.
