SLBM Trader – Securities Lending & Borrowing / Cash–Futures Arbitrage

We are looking for a skilled and analytical SLBM Trader with knowledge of the Securities Lending and Borrowing Mechanism (SLBM), Equity Cash Markets, and Futures & Options.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying profitable Cash–Futures arbitrage opportunities, executing SLBM borrowing transactions, managing positions, and monitoring trading risks and settlements.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and execute SLBM borrowing and Cash–Futures arbitrage opportunities.
- Analyse cash and futures price spreads, borrowing fees, and net profitability.
- Monitor SLBM bid/ask prices, market depth, liquidity, and contract expiries.
- Manage trade execution, rollover strategies, margins, and capital utilisation.
- Handle SLBM settlement processes, including pay-in, payout, and position closure.
- Evaluate transaction costs, exchange charges, taxes, and corporate action risks.
- Maintain daily trading records, P&L; reports, and risk exposure using Excel and trading platforms.




- Coordinate with brokers and clearing teams for smooth trade settlement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Solid understanding of NSE SLBM, Equity Cash, and F&O; markets.
- Practical knowledge of Cash–Futures Arbitrage and securities borrowing strategies.
- Understanding of NSE clearing, settlement cycles, margins, and corporate actions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and trading terminals.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision-making skills.
- Prior experience in SLBM, arbitrage, proprietary trading, or equity derivatives trading preferred.
