Key Responsibilities

A. Time &

- Motion Study

- Conduct detailed time studies, motion studies, and work sampling across production lines.

- Develop and maintain standard operating times, manpower norms, and machine utilization benchmarks.

- Identify bottlenecks, process variations, and areas for efficiency improvement.

B.

Process

Improvement

- Propose improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Line Balancing, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).

- Lead initiatives to reduce process inefficiencies, rework, and idle time.

- Suggest layout modifications for improved material flow and productivity.

C. Documentation &

- Reporting

- Prepare detailed Time Study Reports, Work Instructions, and revised SOPs.

- Maintain Standard Time Data Sheets (STDS) and Process Flow Diagrams.

- Present findings to Production, PPC, Engineering, and Management teams.

D. Capacity &

- Productivity Planning

- Assist in determining plant capacity, shift planning, and manpower allocation.

- Support recent product introduction by creating operation sequences and time estimates.

- Evaluate workstation and line design for optimum output.

E. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Production, PPC, QA, Maintenance, and R&D; teams.

- Provide training to supervisors and operators on optimized job methods.
