UDoBots - Emerging Startup is developing industrial-grade tethered drone platforms for faade cleaning, solar panel cleaning, surveillance, industrial inspection, and future autonomous applications. We are looking for passionate builders who thrive in multidisciplinary environments and enjoy taking products from prototype to commercial deployment.
Role Summary
One of the first Core Engineering hires responsible for transforming a prototype tethered drone platform into a commercially deployable industrial product.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product development.
- Study existing architecture and documentation/improve design.
- Improve mechanical, electrical, and tethered systems.
- Lead prototype assembly, validation, and testing.
- Translate customer feedback into engineering improvements.
- Maintain BOM, design revisions and technical documentation/support cost optimization.
- Coordinate with manufacturing/integration partners.
- Support certifications.
- Improve manufacturability.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Systems Engineering.
- Experience with Drone/UAV product development/DFMEA.
- Experience with Flight mechanics,
stability and payload calculations, and thrust analysis
- CAD (SolidWorks/Fusion 360/CATIA).
- Drone airframe fundamentals.
- Propulsion system understanding.
- Experience with Flight Controller Tuning (ArduPilot).
- Experience with Hands-on prototyping and Drone System integration.
