Purpose/Objective

To manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring effective receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials, spare parts, consumables, and MRO items required for uninterrupted plant operations.

The role will focus on inventory accuracy, stock optimization, material codification, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Store Operations - Ensure timely receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials as per company procedures.

- Maintain proper storage conditions for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and consumable inventories.
- Monitor inward and outward material movements and maintain accurate records in ERP/SAP.
- Ensure proper tagging, binning, and identification of all materials.

Inventory Management - Maintain optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted plant operations.

- Monitor stock availability, reorder levels, safety stock, and lead-time requirements.
- Conduct periodic physical verification and cycle counting of inventory.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

MRO & Spare Parts Management - Manage inventory of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and general maintenance spares.

- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams for critical spare availability.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.

Documentation & Compliance - Maintain accurate store documentation including GRNs, material issue notes, stock registers,



and transfer records.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Support internal and external audits related to store operations and inventory management.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management - Coordinate with procurement, finance, maintenance, logistics, and user departments for smooth material flow.

- Follow up on pending receipts, shortages, damaged materials, and vendor-related issues.
- Provide inventory and consumption reports to management as required.

Safety & Housekeeping - Ensure adherence to EHS standards within the stores area.

- Maintain proper housekeeping practices as per 5S methodology.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related discipline.

- Certification in Materials Management, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Management will be preferred.

Experience - 3-8 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, Inventory Management, or Materials Management.

- Preference for candidates with experience in Cement, Manufacturing, Power, Steel, Mining, or Process Industries.
- Exposure to MRO stores and spare parts inventory management is essential.
