Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Surface Grinding Operator with experience in precision grinding operations, operating surface grinding machines, and achieving the required dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate surface grinding machines to achieve the required dimensions, flatness, parallelism, and surface finish.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and machining specifications.
- Perform precision grinding on fixtures, jigs, machine components, dies, and other engineering parts.
- Select suitable grinding wheels, set operating parameters, and dress grinding wheels as required.
- Set up workpieces using magnetic chucks, clamps, and other appropriate holding devices.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, and height gauges.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and ensure components meet quality standards.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain 5S standards in the work area.




- Coordinate with the production and quality teams to meet production targets and delivery schedules.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in surface grinding operations.
- Knowledge of precision grinding techniques and grinding wheel selection.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and GD&T; fundamentals.
- Knowledge of tolerances, flatness, parallelism, and surface finish requirements.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Good knowledge of machine setup, wheel dressing, and workpiece clamping.
- Ability to identify machining defects and take corrective action.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in fixture manufacturing, jig and tool manufacturing, precision machining, or tool-room operations.
- Knowledge of grinding hardened steel, tool steel, and other engineering materials.
- Experience working with tight tolerances and precision components.

- Machine utilization and tool management.
- Compliance with safety and 5S requirements.

Pay: ₹19,100.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
