Purpose/Objective

- To monitor and supervise all sub stores including pharmacy outlets This position is on DMIHER payroll.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Responsible for coordination of pharmacy and surgical requirements 2.

Accountable for proper storage and optimum inventory control and carrying cost 3.

Reviewing of inventory of central drug and surgical store and other sub stores on weekly basis 4.

Coordinate for material requirements of various labs, pharmacy & general items.

Check and inform expiry period of drugs and medicines.

6.

Ensure availability of optimum stock.

7.

· Maintain minimum stock for slow moving as well as expensive material.

· Ensure availability of rapid-moving material · Maintain optimal inventory levels of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

· Monitor usage trends and place timely orders to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

· Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for best pricing and delivery terms.

· Ensure proper storage and labeling of all medical items.

Check and forward the indent to purchase on a periodic basis 10.





Confirm the list of slow-moving items to the IP/OP pharmacy, regular report the pending requirements, inventory details and stock outs to store in charge 11 Responsible for documentation and preparation of MIS report on monthly basis 12 Coordinate weekly meetings with all outlets

13 Appraise CMA / HS and consultant about pending indents, critical issues and related special drugs in inventory respectively 14 Appraise Commercial & Contract department about critical issues and related special drugs in inventory respectively 15 Generation of statistical data for the decision making

16 Train his subordinates both in pharmacy and material management / inventory control areas

Technical Competencies

Good negotiation skills,foolproof Implementation of purchase systems,knowledge material management

Qualifications and Experience

· MBA / PG degree in Materials Management.

· Should have at least 12 years’ experience in any reputed hospital / Pharma in purchase.
