Senior Tools Development Engineer (7-10 Years)

Job Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain desktop engineering tools using C#, .NET, and WPF.

- Own the complete software development lifecycle from requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Design scalable and maintainable architectures using MVVM, Dependency Injection, MEF, and plug-in-based frameworks.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand complex workflows and convert them into efficient software solutions.

- Develop reusable frameworks, libraries, and common tool capabilities to improve engineering productivity.

- Implement unit testing, integration testing, GUI automation, and software quality practices.

- Review code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure adherence to clean-code and design principles.

- Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, software packaging, and release management activities.

- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance tool development, usability, and engineering efficiency.

- Contribute to modern UI/UX, visualization, and where applicable, 3D/interactive engineering solutions.

Requirements

- 7-10 years of software development experience, preferably in engineering, automotive, tooling, or similar technical environments.

- Strong expertise in C#, .NET, WPF,



and Object-Oriented Programming.

- Hands-on experience with MVVM architecture, Data Binding, Commands, Dependency Injection, and UI design patterns.

- Solid understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.

- Experience developing modular, extensible, and plug-in-based applications.

- Good knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, GUI automation, and test frameworks.

- Experience with Git, GitLab, CodeBeamer, or similar version control and requirement management tools.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployment, and release processes.

- Robust debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive technical solutions.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with engineers, stakeholders, testers, and end users.

- Experience in code reviews, technical discussions, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

- Added advantage: Experience with Blender, Unity, 3D visualization, Python scripting, APIs, databases, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

- Preferred Qualification: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
