Sr. Manager - Record-to-Report (RTR) - Insurance - 5+ Kochi

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead the Record-to-Report (RTR) function within the Life & Annuity (L&A;) insurance segment. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in insurance accounting, month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of IFRS 17, local GAAP, ERP systems, and team leadership is essential to drive accuracy, compliance, and process excellence.

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) operations for the insurance business.
2. Managing month-end closing activities and ensuring timely financial close.
3. Supervising the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries.
4. Reviewing account reconciliations and resolving outstanding discrepancies.
5. Consolidating and presenting accurate month-end financial reports.
6. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
7. Driving process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
8. Coordinating with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure financial accuracy.
9. Mentoring team members and strengthening overall team performance.
10. Monitoring key performance indicators and presenting actionable insights to senior management.

Requirements

1. 4+ years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR) within the insurance industry.
2. Strong expertise in month-end closing, journal entries,



account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
3. Good understanding of insurance accounting, including IFRS 17 and local GAAP.
4. Hands-on proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.
5. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA/CPA preferred.
6. Proven experience in team management, stakeholder coordination, and process improvement.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
8. Ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and regulatory requirements.
