Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Python.
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end features from concept to production.
3. Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party services.
4. Write efficient SQL and work with MongoDB for data modeling, querying, and performance optimization.
5. Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit tests, and adherence to best practices.
6. Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
7. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure application reliability and performance.
8. Document technical designs, processes, and procedures to foster knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field,



or equivalent practical experience.
2. 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
3. Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and Node.js for building modern web applications.
4. Hands-on experience with Python for backend services or scripting.
5. Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
6. Familiarity with Git for version control and team-oriented workflows.
7. Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
8. Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 for responsive, accessible front-end development.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB in production environments.
2. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
4. Understanding of TypeScript and modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, or similar).
5. Exposure to microservices architecture and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
6. Open-source contributions or a public portfolio demonstrating coding proficiency.
