Purpose of this position / Position summary :-

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Software Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in back-end and front-end system design, data model design, API design, cloud-native design, and secure-first design principles (including OWASP, cloud security, and cryptography). They will also possess a strong understanding of software engineering, Agile practices, cloud architecture, Generative AI and prompt engineering, as well as the modernization of existing systems through maintenance, reverse engineering, and refactoring of legacy applications.

This role requires excellent documentation skills, the ability to mentor and extract work from the development team, and strong design articulation skills. Proficiency in development using .NET Core framework, C#, Python along with exposure in both Linux and Windows environments is essential. Experience with Azure, micro-frontends (including Module Federation), and the usage of Generative AI tools for code and test generation is highly preferred.

Primary duties and responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities System Design (Back-end & Front-end):
- Develop and implement robust system architectures (services, integrations, and UIs) that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
- Own end-to-end architecture from front-end to back-end and data layers.
- Front-end System Design & Micro-Frontends:
- Design scalable front-end architectures using modern frameworks (e.g., Angular or React).
- Architect and implement micro-frontend solutions, including Webpack Module Federation, to enable independently deployable UI modules.
- Define contracts, composition strategies, routing, and shared library strategies for micro-frontends.
- Data Model Design: Design efficient and scalable data models to support application functionality and performance.
- API Design: Create and maintain well-documented, secure, and scalable APIs.
- Cloud-Native Design: Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Secure-First Design (OWASP, Cloud Security & Cryptography):
- Apply OWASP guidelines and secure coding practices throughout the SDLC.
- Design and review cloud security controls (identity and access management, network security, secrets management, compliance).
- Define and implement cryptographic practices (data-at-rest and in-transit encryption, key management, tokenization where applicable).
- Software Engineering: Apply solid software engineering principles to develop high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Agile Practices: Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of features.
- Cloud Architecture: Design and implement cloud infrastructure and services, with a strong understanding of Azure and its security services.
- Legacy Systems – Maintenance & Modernization:
- Analyze, maintain,

and enhance existing and legacy applications to ensure stability, performance, and security.
- Perform reverse engineering of poorly documented or legacy systems to understand architecture, data flows, and integration points.
- Plan and execute refactoring and modernization initiatives (e.g., migration to microservices, micro-frontends, and cloud-native architectures) while minimizing business disruption.
- Introduce automation, monitoring, and observability to improve reliability and maintainability of legacy and modernized systems.
- Refactoring & Code Quality: Lead refactoring efforts to improve code quality, modularity, testability, and adherence to architecture guidelines and patterns.
- Documentation: Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for system designs, APIs, front-end and micro-frontend architecture, legacy system understanding, and development processes.
- Mentoring: Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Design Articulation: Effectively communicate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders and team members.
- Generative AI, Agentic AI & Prompt Engineering:
- Utilize Generative AI tools for code generation, test generation, and documentation assistance to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques (prompt design, chaining, context management, and evaluation) to get reliable, secure, and high-quality outputs from AI tools.
- Contribute to and/or design architectures using Agentic AI frameworks where AI agents collaborate with services and humans in the system.
- Development Skills: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using .NET Core, C#, and/or Python, and front-end frameworks (Angular or React).

- Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 12–15 years of experience in software architecture and development, including substantial exposure to maintaining and modernizing legacy applications.
- Technical Skills Practical, hands-on experience is essential.
- Experience working on at least 5–6 distinct projects.
- Proficiency in system design, data model design, and API design.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native design and secure-first design principles.
- Solid software engineering skills and experience with Agile practices.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly Azure.
- Excellent documentation and design articulation skills.
