Purpose/Objective

This position is responsible to handle shift duty of Electrical power Distribution operations at port.

Responsible for executing preventive, predictive, breakdown maintenance and implementing safe operation processes for quality & reliable power source for end user & port operation.

Coordination with GETCO/DGVCL in the eventuality of power failure.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities Shift engg (ED) is directly coordinator with end user, he shall have customer centric, collaborative approach.

His responsibility to satisfy the users and provide service with time bound period.

He is responsible to handle team of contractual person.

Operational Responsibilities To Provide reliable & Quality power for end users and port operation, ensure readiness at all the time following major eletrical system : (a) Sub stations (66KV and 11KV) (b) HV Electrical Distribution all over port (c) LV Electrical Distributions (d) Utilities and office buildings (e) Roof Top Solar Generation (f) Energy management Major activity covers : 1.

Day to day work of SAP based PM and related activity like preventive predictive, condition monitoring & Breakdown of Eletrical Dist.

Asset.

Adhered to safety standard & IMS guidelines for day to day O&M; activity.

3.

Record keeping, MIS data preparation, statutory data compilation.

4.

Ensure Readiness of back up power source like UPS, Battery, DG Sets by Regular operation check and schedule maintenance.

5.

Co-ordination with inter-intra department for effective planning of O&M; job.

6.

Reliability of All the utilities plant like STP/water pump house etc.

7.

Co-ordination with store for material management for O&M; job.

8.

Collect Energy data to all the meters for energy management.

Effective O&M; of roof top solar.

10.

Coordination & implementation of Various ARC job like Air condition, AHU, UPS, Lift, solar panel cleaning etc.

11.

Minor Project job like system augmentation / modification / upgradation etc People Management Responsible for effectively and safe working by the contractual manpower.

Providing job knowledge and safety awareness through TBT on daily basis.

Ensure for participation of person in various training/awareness campaign of the organization.

Ensure for PPE & adequate reliable tools for manpower.

Communicate effectively as and when require for various updates about organization policies, rules etc.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Diploma / Degree Eletrical engineer Experiences: Exposure on HV/LV Electrical Distribution system, operation and maintenance of LT DG sets.

Must be thorough in fault finding & Restoration of Electrical apparatus like Transformer, Switchgear, Cables, control panels etc.

Exposure of LT & HT DG set operation and trouble shooting Exposure of building Electrification, UPS, Fire alarm and other utilities like pump, Motor etc.

Must have enough knowledge of protection system, 11 & 33 KV Switchgear and Power transformers.

Capability to understand electrical drawings and troubleshooting in control wiring.

Exposure of Eletrical safety and other basic Electrical rules and regulation.
