ComplyStream is a RegTech company building compliance operations software for fintechs and payment service providers. Our platform brings KYB, KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and AML case management into one place, with AI assisting compliance analysts in their daily work. We are a small, focused team of engineers, product and design, and we move quickly because our customers rely on us to keep up with changing regulation.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to become our first dedicated quality specialist. You will own how we test our web platform, combining careful manual and exploratory testing with an automated suite that the whole team can trust. Our product handles sensitive customer data and complex workflows that move through many states, so thoughtful testing has a direct impact on our customers and on the regulated businesses they serve. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in India.

What you will do

Define and own the QA strategy for our web application and APIs, deciding where manual testing adds the most value and where automation should take over.

Carry out thorough manual and exploratory testing of new features, with a focus on edge cases, error handling and multi-step workflows.

Build and maintain automated end-to-end and API test suites, and run them as part of our CI pipeline.

Test that customer data stays properly separated between tenants and that user roles and permissions behave as intended.

Work with engineers to find practical ways to test AI-powered features whose output can vary from one run to the next.

Write clear,



reproducible bug reports and follow issues through to resolution.

Take part in planning and review so that quality is considered before code is written, not only after.

What we are looking for

At least 5 years of professional QA experience on web applications, with strong skills in both manual and automated testing.

Hands-on experience building automated tests with a modern framework such as Playwright or Cypress. Playwright with TypeScript is a strong advantage, as it is what we use.

Solid experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.

Experience running automated tests in a CI/CD pipeline, such as GitHub Actions.

A valuable understanding of how modern web applications work, including browser developer tools and basic SQL for checking data.

The ability to work independently, set your own priorities and make sensible decisions when requirements are incomplete.

Clear written and spoken communication in English.

You must be based in India.

Nice to have

Experience in fintech, compliance, banking or other regulated B2B SaaS.

Experience as the first or only QA at a startup.

Experience testing multi-tenant systems, role-based access or AI and LLM features.

Familiarity with synthetic monitoring, performance testing or basic security testing.
