We are looking for an experienced Payment Testing Lead with robust functional knowledge of payment services, card payment transactions, and hands-on experience with VISA Simulator testing. The ideal candidate should have excellent manual testing skills, a strong test design approach, and the ability to lead a QA team while ensuring the quality and reliability of payment applications.

The candidate should be comfortable understanding complex payment workflows, designing comprehensive test scenarios, executing functional and integration tests, and coordinating testing activities across the team. Automation knowledge is an added advantage but is not the primary requirement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate day-to-day QA activities for payment services and card payment applications.
- Understand payment processing workflows, transaction lifecycles, and business requirements.
- Work with VISA Simulator to validate card payment transactions and related payment scenarios.
- Design detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test plans based on functional specifications.
- Perform hands-on manual testing, functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Validate transaction processing scenarios, including successful transactions, declines, reversals, refunds, timeouts, and error handling, as applicable to the project.
- Verify transaction messages, response codes, and transaction status across integrated systems.
- Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects with development and business teams.
- Review test cases prepared by team members and ensure adequate functional and negative-scenario coverage.
- Mentor team members, track testing progress, and report QA status, risks, and defects to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to resolve functional issues.




- Contribute to test automation where required; automation is a secondary responsibility.

Required Skills and Experience

- 5–7 years of experience in software testing, preferably in banking, financial services, card payments, or payment processing.
- Strong functional knowledge of payment services and card payment transaction flows.
- Hands-on experience with VISA Simulator for testing payment transaction scenarios.
- Excellent manual testing skills with a structured and analytical test design approach.
- Ability to translate business requirements and functional specifications into comprehensive test scenarios.
- Experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong defect reporting, root-cause analysis, and test documentation skills.
- Experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring QA team members.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

- Knowledge of ISO 8583 messages, transaction fields, processing codes, and response codes.
- Experience with card authorisation, clearing, settlement, reversals, refunds, and chargeback workflows.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Experience testing payment APIs and integrated payment systems.
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or other testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test management tools.

Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on QA professional who combines strong payment-domain expertise with sound testing fundamentals and team leadership capabilities. The candidate should be able to independently understand payment functionality, design effective test coverage, guide team members, and ensure reliable testing outcomes.

Important: Strong payment-domain knowledge, VISA Simulator experience, manual testing, and test design skills are the primary selection criteria. Automation expertise is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
