As a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontics, you will play a key role in educating the next generation of dental professionals and advancing the field through research and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor students in the classroom, clinic, and laboratory settings
- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and other educational content related to periodontics
- Supervise and evaluate students' clinical skills and patient care
- Conduct research in the field of periodontics and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals
- Provide patient care in the form of periodontal diagnosis, treatment, and management
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the college to promote the growth and development of the department and college
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as assigned
- Participate in career development activities to stay current with advances in the field of periodontics
Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree (M.D.S)in Periodontics or equivalent qualification
- Certificate or advanced degree in Periodontics from an accredited program
- Current license to practice dentistry in the state or jurisdiction where the college is located
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching, research, and patient care in the field of periodontics
- Evidence of scholarly activity, such as publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at professional conferences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to providing high-quality education, research, and patient care in the field of periodontics.
