The Senior Lecturer in the Department of General Medicine will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of general medicine. They will be expected to provide high-quality education to medical students and trainees, participate in academic activities such as curriculum development and assessment, and contribute to research activities within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and supervise medical students and trainees in the field of general medicine
- Participate in the development, delivery, and assessment of the department's educational programs
- Contribute to the research activities of the department, including grant writing, manuscript preparation, and presentations at academic conferences
- Engage in academic and administrative activities,
such as committee work, program coordination, and student advising
- Participate in community outreach programs and engage with other healthcare professionals to promote the college's vision and mission.
Qualifications:
- A postgraduate qualification in general medicine, such as a Master's degree or equivalent
- At least five years of experience teaching and conducting research in the field of general medicine
- Demonstrated expertise in the areas of medical education and research
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members, students, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of medical software, electronic medical records (EMRs), and digital health technologies.
