Job Purpose The Specification Engineer –

- Key Accounts is responsible for driving product specifications and approvals with the clients in the subject category through consultants. The role focuses on influencing project specifications at the design stage, developing relationships with key stakeholders, identifying project opportunities, and ensuring the company's products are included in project specifications to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Specification Management

- Promote company products and solutions to end clients and architects, consultants in the region.
- Coordinating with specifications team for securing product specifications and approvals in projects during the design and pre-construction stages.
- Track and manage project pipelines from concept stage through to project execution.
- Leading conversion of specifications to sales in the region.
- Conduct product presentations and specification workshops with the help of the Product Segment Managers / Business Development Managers

Key Account Management

- Develop and maintain solid relationships with key account clients from the Datacenter, It &
- ITES sector.
- Map stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts through deep understanding of the power map of the account.
- Create account-specific engagement plans to maximize specification opportunities.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development.

Project Tracking &





- Business Development

- Identify and monitor upcoming projects relevant to the subject clients in the category.
- Coordinate with sales teams to convert specifications into actual business orders.
- Generate leads and support project closures through collaborative engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of project status, specifications, and account activities.

Technical Support

- Provide technical consultation, product selection guidance, and value-engineering solutions.
- Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications for product opportunities.
- Resolve technical queries from consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support product testing, certifications, and approvals when required.

Market Intelligence

- Monitor competitor activities, specifications, and market trends in the relevant sector.
- Maintain updates on greenfield projects of each key account from the Datacenter, IT &
- ITES domain
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product development and marketing strategies.
- Identify current business opportunities within assigned territories and accounts.

Internal Coordination

- Work closely with Sales, Specification and Product Management.
- Support project handovers from specification stage to execution and sales teams.




- Prepare periodic reports on specifications secured, project pipeline, and business forecasts.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- MBA or relevant management qualification preferred.

Experience

- 3–5 years of experience in specification selling, project sales, technical sales, or business development within the construction chemicals, building materials, or related industries.
- Experience of interacting with architects, consultants, developers, and contractors is preferred.
- Proven track record in managing key accounts and project specifications.
